When Connie is sent to live with her aunt by the sea, she’s not expecting anything much – not to make friends with Col, the coolest boy in town, and certainly not to discover that mythical creatures still exist, that an ancient society has protected them for centuries and that a dark and powerful force is now trying to destroy it. Above all, she doesn’t expect to discover that she has a special talent – greater even than her secret ability to talk to animals – which, with Col’s help, could give her unimaginable power...

Hi Julia im am 12 and I just wanted to say I really really love the compainon quartet series!! And I hope you write books 5 and 6. It would be awesome to find out about Gorge and more about what happened to Col and Coinnie. Also if you ever get anyone to make it into a movie I would love to hear when they would release it. Thank you. I always try to do something different in each book so you never have to read the same kind of story.

I originaly got them from a friend to read, but haven't been able to find them since. :( I like to re-read really good books :) I think you should write about what happened to Connie after the fourth book. Do you have any suggestions on what to read next? I read a lot, so I have trouble finding good books that I haven't already read. Thanks a lot for writing the Companions Quartet though!

Unethical? That made me smile. Actually very often it is the decision of a publisher rather than an author to decide how long something runs for. I'm always writing more.

Hi. yes I have. In fact, I've decided to put it out very soon as an ebook as waiting in line after the new Dark Spies trilogy would mean it takes forever to get to readers. I'm just sorting this out now. If you have a kindle or smart phone you'll be able to read it by Christmas. The title is Water Thief. Julia

This story was great because you could know how each charater was feeling. I loved all the different types of creatures and thought it was really inventive and I've started reading the whole series again! How do you think of all this stuff and not run out of ideas ?!

Hello Miss Julia.. im Catherine from Greece and im 20 years old and i just start reading your book today (" Secret of the Sirens") and i am a lil confused... ummm in my country's mythology Sirens use to be extremly beautifull women who were on the seas and they are looking like mermaids... and Harpys are eagle birds with female face.. so im wondering why you have preset that Sirens are like Harpys??? im really confused about that... will you plz help me Miss Julia? Hi Sirens are from Sorrento (or close by) and are flying creatures as in the book - see your own Greek legends and pottery pictures! Over time they got confused with mermaids but they aren't the same thing. Julia

I just finished the last book in your, The Chimera's Curse,and must say I enjoyed the way you sweetly ended the series with Col and Connie (hope i didnt spoil anything for any one!haha)and how you left us to come up with our own ending on how everything turned out from that other BIG surprise at the end! I am sad to find that you haven't and probably won't write a fifth. (ofcourse hence the quartet) but still i was wondering if there will possibly be a movie? I would rather enjoy to relive the excitment on screen espicially with the technology we have!
