Wolf's Cry and the Silver Sea are the same things, right? I got confused thinking Dragonfly and the Glass Swallow were the same thing, and they weren't.

Yes, just different titles one for US one for UK.

Wolfcry made ME cry! That is so sad! And so beautiful! It was a pretty long book yet I felt that it was too short. It could have gone on for ages! I already miss it and I just finsihed reading it like two seconds ago. Tears still in my eyes. I like how it ended, because happy endings are too cleche!

I really enjoyed reading Wolfcry and was wondering if you were writing a sequel? I'd really like to know what happened to Enno. Do you have any plans?

You know I'd like to know what he does next but I haven't planned to write another. I left his future open knowing there was more to his life to come. Julia

I just finished "The Silver Sea". It was very enjoyable, so much so that I stayed up late three nights in a row to finish it. My husband is worried that I might be sick because I am so tired in the mornings! I would love to read a follow up to this book. It would be wonderful to know what happens to Enno. Thanks for sharing your gift!

Thanks for getting in touch, Kathryn, to let me know. My next book in the US is The Glass Swallow - I hope you enjoy that one too! Julia

You know how you did the Glass Swallow which was related to Dragonfly. Well why don't you do a similar thing with Wolf Cry.

Thanks for the idea. J

I really enjoyed Wolf Cry. I have read all your books except the last 2 companions books. Please keep writing because you are one of my fave authors! Wolf Cry really made me empathize with Freydis, the unwanted daughter, and Enno, the 'Blue Man. I love the Viking gods and found this a very interesting novel. All in all one of your best books in my opinion amongst many other books of yours. Please keep writing!! Thank you Georgina

I'm doing a questionaire for school and the trailer isn't working sorry to bother you but what country is it set in?

Which bit of the book? J

caissa wrote on 20 May 2011:

i have question is THE SILVER SEA and WOLF CRY the same book with different titles or are they two different books?

Yes the same. The US asked to give it a different title because with so many werewolf books out it might strike the wrong note in that market! J

I finished The Silver Sea (I'm in the US) just minutes ago and am still in shock. You invoked tears in me--something very few books have managed to do. The ending was so sad!...but it had to be that way. I do have a question though: Throughout the book you talk about Enno's one God, who is good and just. Did you mean the God of my people, the Christians? Just wondering. Thanks for another great read--I like this one only slightly less than Dragonfly, :D

Dear Tessa, I think Enno is probably Muslim, though he was taken so early his ideas of God are fairly basic and could be rooted in any monotheism of that region (Christian and Jewish as well). I quite like to leave it open as the main contrast I wanted was between believing in one God and many gods. Julia

This is an awesome book! I couldn't put it down, despite several punishments I recieved from my mother (for not doing my chores). Are there going to be anymore books in this world?

See FAQs for forthcoming books. J

Not to that one, but there are other books you might not have read - Dragonfly for example? J

I stumbled across this book quite by accident in the library. I often check out youth books to see what is being written for them...this was wonderful! I thought you handled faith, belief and folk beliefs with a real dignity - what a delight to see. I will be looking for your other works in future and will definately pass it on.

Thanks!
